As a Project Coordinator, Architecture and Sustainability,at Sol, Maia assists projects seeking to attain Leadership in Energy and Design (LEED) and Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) certifications. She also works on all aspects of design within Sol’s own architecture projects, including design for Passive House certification (PHIUS). Working across several states, Maia brings a unique perspective on the variability of what sustainability means, and how it can be incorporated into each specific project. She passionately believes access to regenerative, well-designed spaces is a basic right, and that good design can, and should, consider its big picture impact. Maia enjoys her volunteer work, fostering and socializing over 60 cats & kittens, and helping out at the Montgomery Farmer’s Market. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and cooking over the campfire.
