As Vice President, Sustainability Certifications, Nate serves as Sol’s green certification manager, LEED for Homes Green Rater, and Quality Assurance Designee. In this role, Nate manages the LEED certification process for Sol’s various projects regardless of complexity and scale. This includes facilitating meetings and trainings, as well as reviewing construction documents, conducting construction site inspections and testing, and completing document packages. With over 15 years of experience with LEED for Homes, he’s able to see things in certifications that others may not, and has been known to find a way of meeting certifications because of his intricate knowledge of the rating system. One of the highlights of Nate’s career has been working on projects in Saudi Arabia. He credits collaborating with teams from a different culture and with different ways of working in helping him see other points of view, ultimately resulting in his own professional growth. Nate has served on several committees for his local U.S. Green Building Council chapter, including serving as chair, and chair of a design competition that drew applications from across the world. He currently serves as a board member of the Ludlow Historic Society. Nate also enjoys traveling, swimming and running, spending time with friends, and trying new things.
