Corey Woods is a Testing and Verification Inspector at Sol design + consulting, a firm dedicated to sustainability and energy efficiency. Based in Michigan, Corey brings over five years of experience in the building performance industry, specializing in ENERGY STAR-certified single-family homes. He is also certified to work on multifamily buildings and holds a Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) certification.

Before focusing on energy efficiency, Corey gained valuable experience in various sectors of the construction industry, including highway, masonry, and residential housing. This diverse background gives him a comprehensive understanding of building systems and construction practices, which he applies to optimize energy performance.

Corey attended Delta College in Bay City, MI, where he earned an Associate of Science degree and an Associate in Construction Management, graduating with honors in both high school and college. His dedication to education and his commitment to excellence are key drivers of his success in the energy efficiency field.

In his current role, Corey conducts energy efficiency testing, develops detailed energy models, and works closely with clients to implement best practices in air sealing and sustainable design. He is passionate about helping clients build smarter, more efficient homes and is committed to making a positive impact through energy-efficient building solutions.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, hitting the beach, watching sports, and playing golf — even though he's still perfecting his swing.
