Sol wins USGBC Leadership Award
Sol design + consulting has received a 2021 USGBC Leadership Award from the U.S. Green Building Council. The international awards are given to individuals and organizations who provide exemplary leadership in the creation of sustainable, healthier, equitable and resilient buildings, cities, and communities.
"We are honored to be recognized by the USGBC as a leader in the green building industry," said Sanyog Rathod, President and CEO of Sol design + consulting. "This award is the result of over a decade of work focused on affordable housing, green historic renovations, and our stewardship of the LEED for Homes program. Our team looks forward to continuing to innovate with our clients to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time, from affordable housing and wellness to climate change and resilience."
The firm's accomplishments include:
- Certifying over 1000 LEED projects and 10,000 residential units since 2008
- Certifying the largest single-phase LEED Homes project in the world, comprised of 615 single-family homes, 2017
- Certifying the first LEED for Homes Midrise Platinum housing for the Homeless in the US, 2010
- Receiving LEED Homes Award twice, in 2021 for Cincinnati Scholar House, and in 2020 for the Sikes Residence
The award was announced during the USGBC Live virtual conference in July 2021.
