Sol’s LEED Platinum head office earns the WELL Health-Safety Rating

Sol design + consulting's Cincinnati office has been awarded the WELL Health-Safety Rating in addition to its LEED Platinum certification. The WELL Health-Safety Rating recognizes workplaces that prioritize the health and safety of their employees and visitors. Sol treats the workspace like a sanctuary, with sustainability and well-being as top priorities. Their head office is an energy-efficient historic building renovated with a focus on health and safety.

Located in the Pendleton neighborhood of Cincinnati, Sol is a source for green building design and certification. Sol can take on the full scope of your WELL certification and your WELL Health-Safety Rating. As a WELL Performance Testing Agent, Sol provides the WELL Performance Testing Services. This includes the capability to conduct over 20 types of tests and evaluate 67 distinct performance indicators, encompassing air quality, water quality, lighting quality, and acoustics.

The WELL Health-Safety Rating is offered through the International WELL Building Institute. WELL acknowledges the link between well-being and the environment we occupy, and proposes a solution for a post-COVID world.

Sol's various WELL quality standards include cleaning and sanitizing protocols, health services, and air and water quality management. Air quality testing included evaluation of Formaldehyde, Acetaldehyde, Benzene, Toluene, Acrylonitrile, Naphthalene, PM2.3, PM10, ozone, and carbon monoxide – and the results passed by a large margin, well beyond the minimum requirements for WELL. Water testing included testing for total coliforms and turbidity – these tests passed as well.
